Job Description:
TM8 Recruitment www.tm8.ca is helping our client, one of Canada's leading Mobile Medical Equipment Companies, find an experienced and effective Sales Manager. Main responsibilities are to ensure revenue growth and to manage a team of inside and outside sales professionals within the medical mobility equipment industry.
$60-$70K Base salary & Target Earnings $90- $100K
Duties and Responsibilities
• Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Manager ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of sales personnel. You will identify objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings.
• Collaborate with GM in establishing and recommending the most realistic sales goals for the company.
• Manage team to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives.
• Establish and manage effective programs to compensate, coach, appraise and train sales personnel.
Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams.
• Develop specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company's products.
• Provide quarterly results assessments of sales staff's productivity.
• Coordinate proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales results.
• Formulate all sales policies, practices and procedures.
• Assist sales personnel in establishing personal contact and rapport with top echelon decision-makers.
• Collaborate with GM to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines.
• Interpret short- and long-term effects on sales strategies in operating profit.
• Educate sales team by establishing programs/seminars in the areas of new account sales and growth, sales of emerging products and multi-product sales, profitability, improved presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of sales support, management of expenses and business/financial issues on contracts.
Required Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years experience managing an outside sales team
*3-5 years medical equipment sales experience
* Ideally you have contacts with local Occupational Therapists and/or Long Term Care Facility Managers.
* Ability to motivate a sales team and effectively convey to your team the need for a soft sales touch -- and the ability to sell without being "salesy."
* Strong people management and excellent presentation skills are a must.
* Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information. *Proven ability to motivate and lead the sales team. Experience in developing
marketing and sales strategies.
*Excellent oral and written communication skills, plus a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
* A valid driver's license.
