Position: QA Manager
Location: Toronto
Contract: 6 Months +
Rate: Open

Job Description:
Overall of 10+yrs of exp and expert level knowledge of the testing &
deployment processes applicable to assigned products or systems.
Test strategies for web-based applications preferably in the payroll,
benefits or HR space.
Proven track record establishing solid QA test strategies and plans.
Minimum 3 years experience working in a Manager, Quality Assurance role.
Experience with providing superior leadership across manual, automated
and performance test activities.
Strong knowledge of QA and software testing methodologies in support of
a variety of software development methodologies, e.g. Agile, RUP, etc.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Communication - ability to understand Architectural documentation,
requirement documents, functional specifications, high level design documentation and system documentation. Solidly able to incorporate this information, along with project business objectives, into appropriate QA test strategies and plans.
Teamwork - ability to work cooperatively towards shared goals and
objectives - both within Development and the organization as a whole.
Planning - ability to build and execute on QA plans to validate complex
application or application changes, leveraging a global QA development and QA team.
Problem Solving - the ability to understand complex situations, and
identify, develop and implement practical solutions
Relationship building - ability to build and maintain strong
relationships both within and outside of the QA team.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Design, development and execution of automated tests using HP's QTP.
Familiarity using and administering Quality Centre, preferred.
Familiarity with JavaScript
Familiarity with networking concepts and experience analyzing network
traffic data
Strong understanding of Internet architecture and browsers
Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL
Web development and software programming experience is preferred.
