Job Overview

A mid-sized construction firm is seeking a Senior Project Manager to supervise overall project performance. You will be responsible for one large, or several small projects at a time. You will be managing and overseeing budgets in excess of $50M, so experience on large-scale projects is crucial.

The Project Manager will be in charge of all costs, scheduling, quality control, project status, and maintaining of relationships with sub-trades and clients. As you will be orchestrating a large number of tasks at one time, good organizational skills are a must.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate for this position will have an Engineering background with commercial experience, as well as experience managing a project from the contractors’ perspective. A minimum of 5 years experience in commercial building with a contractor is required.

The candidate should:

Have good communication skills, both written and verbal

Have the ability to forecast costs

Have good leadership skills

Be safety-minded

Be able to plan and schedule for a very large crew

Have Post-secondary education – ideally with a focus in Civil Engineering
